Norwalk, CT beaches are one of the best parts of living in the area. Norwalk has a variety of beaches for residents and visitors to choose from, each with its own perks and character. Here are some of the most popular ones:

Calf Pasture Beach

Calf Pasture Beach Road, Norwalk, CT 06851

This is one of the largest and most popular beaches in Norwalk, with 3/4 of a mile of scenic coastline and amenities. It features boat rentals and a launch, fishing, a playground, splash pad, skate park, volleyball courts, and concession stands. The beach also has lifeguards on duty during the summer months.

Non-resident parking is available on a first come, first serve basis for $42/car on weekdays before 5PM ($30/car after 5PM) and $72/car on weekends and holidays. Parking passes on the ParkMobile app, on site at the pay stations in the parking lot, or by calling 877-727-5730. (Beach Zone# 2035)

Shady Beach

14 Canfield Ave, Norwalk, CT 06855

This is a smaller and more secluded beach in Norwalk that abuts Calf Pasture Beach. It’s a great spot for fishing off the fishing deck, kayaking, and paddle boarding. There are lifeguards on duty from 10AM to 6PM and restrooms are available.

Non-residents must park in the non-resident lot and purchase a parking pass, $42/car on weekdays before 5PM ($30/car after 5PM) and $72/car on weekends and holidays.

Bayley Beach

11 Pine Point Rd, Norwalk, CT 06853

Bayley Beach is a small but popular beach located in Rowayton, Norwalk’s sixth taxing district. There is a pavilion with lounge chairs where you can enjoy scenic views of the shore. Grilling is allowed on beach-supplied charcoal grills and there are also basketball and tennis courts on site. The beach is known to have live music during the summer as well.

Beach stickers are required for residents and are checked by gate guards. Non-residents must pay $25 at the gate.

Marvin Beach

The Marvin Beach Association is made up of Roland Ave, Alden Ave, Norman Ave, Wallace Ave, Marion Ave, Elliott St, River Dr and Gregory Blvd (from corner of Fifth St to south corner of Elliott St).

This is a private beach located within the Marvin Beach Association neighborhood in Rowayton. It’s a favorite spot for locals and is a great place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the Long Island Sound. But keep in mind, there are no lifeguards on duty and no public restrooms.

Veterans Memorial Park

42 Seaview Ave, Norwalk, CT 06855

This is not technically a beach, but it’s a popular spot in Norwalk for outdoor activities with 35 acres including a playground, bike and jogging path, basketball court, soccer, hockey and football fields, baseball diamonds, and a marina and boating center. The park features a small sandy beach on the Norwalk River, along with picnic areas to enjoy the view. Non-residents must pay a fee of $6.00 for entry.
